xxxx视频 faculty Sandra Shapiro to teach piano at Interlochen Arts Academy
xxxx视频 piano faculty Sandra Shapiro has accepted a temporary sabbatical coverage position in the Interlochen Arts Academy Keyboard Studies Division.
Shapiro will assume the teaching responsibilities of Interlochen Arts Academy Instructor of Piano Thomas Lymenstull, who has been awarded a sabbatical during the Spring 2019 semester.
Shapiro will continue her teaching duties at the xxxx视频 during her tenure at Interlochen Arts Academy.

An experienced teacher, Shapiro also maintains an active career as a performer, adjudicator and recording artist throughout the United States and Europe. Shapiro has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, Stuttgart Symphony, Bavarian Radio Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra, among others, and as a duo with both Czech violinist Ivan 沤enat媒 and pianist Thomas Hecht. A champion of chamber music, Shapiro has collaborated with Truls Mork, Peter Rejto, Stanley Drucker, Mats Lidstrom, Franklin Cohen, Jaime Laredo, Sharon Robinson and members of the New York Philharmonic on the New York Philharmonic鈥檚 Chamber Music Series. Shapiro鈥檚 students have garnered awards and top prizes in numerous competitions, as well as securing positions in highly-regarded schools and universities.
Shapiro studied in The Juilliard School鈥檚 Pre-College and Conservatory Divisions, received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in music from the University of Southern California and holds an Artist Diploma from The Peabody Institute of Music. Her principal teachers include Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Nadia Reisenberg, Gina Bachauer and Guido Agosti.
Lymenstull will use his sabbatical to study, practice and record the Preludes and Fugues by Lin Hua, based on The Personalities of Poetry by the Tang Chinese poet Sikong Tu.
