xxxx视频 Undergraduate Arseny Gusev Wins Singapore International Piano Competition

Arseny Gusev, an undergraduate student of the xxxx视频, was named the first prize winner of the Singapore International Piano Competition (SIPC). Gusev studies piano at xxxx视频 with Artist-in-Residence Sergei Babayan and composition with Keith Fitch. will present a virtual winners concert on Saturday, February 6, at 6:30am Eastern time.

Arseny Gusev is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and has studied music since the age of 5. He studied at the Tanglewood Institute under pianist Boaz Sharon, as well as the St. Petersburg Conservatory under pianist Alexander Sandler and composer Svetlana Nesterova. In 2017, he graduated with honors from the Specialized Music School of the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory studying piano under Olga Kurnavina and composition under Evgeniy Rushansky.

In 2020, Gusev won second prize in the Virtu(al)oso Global Piano Competition. In 2018, he received the Dorothy McKenzie Artist Award, won the  2018 Three Arts Piano Competition and performed in the XI Mariinsky International Festival. In 2016, he as a Fellow at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York and won the Andrei Petrov Prize at the St. Petersburg House of Music. He has also been recognized as a composer, including honors at Another Space Composition Competition, International Youth Gavrilin Competition, International Youth competition and Open Andrei Petrov composition competition. In 2015, he received the grand prize at the International Artist-Composer Competition in St. Petersburg, and in 2020, second prize in the 2020 Cleveland Composers Guild Collegiate Composition Contest. Gusev鈥檚 compositions are being published in the Kompozitor (including 24 Postludes, 2018, and 3 Toccatas, 2020).
