The Young Artist Piano Seminar at the xxxx视频 is a week-long summer piano intensive offering advanced piano students ages 10 to 18 the opportunity to make great strides in the art of piano performance. The program is directed by xxxx视频鈥檚 award-winning pianist and pedagogue Gerardo Teissonni猫re, and will include an internationally renowned artist faculty. This year's special guest artists are , Gold Medal winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and member of the piano faculty at the Eastman School of Music, and , artist-in-residence and piano faculty at Temple University.

The Young Artist Piano Seminar will be held June 23-28, 2024 and will include: 

  • Daily lessons, master classes and recitals with faculty artists at the xxxx视频 
  • Dalcroze Eurythmics and Piano Literature classes led by xxxx视频 faculty 
  • A piano concerto competition (one movement to be performed with a second piano) 
  • A final concert on the last day of the program, with performances by all participating pianists

Application Fee: $35 (non-refundable)
Tuition: $1250
Housing: $450*
Dining: $300

Deposit: $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit is due upon accepting your admission offer. This deposit will be applied toward the total tuition due.

All travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

*Note: If you are local to Cleveland and don't need housing, this charge can be removed, but everyone is required to pay dining costs to cover meals provided during the program.

Recorded Audition

Auditions for the Young Artist Piano Seminar are by recorded audition only - there will be no live auditions.

Please submit:

  1. Links to two unedited video performances recorded for application to this program of two works performed in the last 6 months from contrasting style periods in the standard classical piano literature. For recording specifications, please follow the Specifications tab listed here.
    • For students intending to participate in the competition, a recording of one movement from a concerto with orchestra or a second piano must be included in addition to the two solo work recordings. All repertoire submitted in the application must be ready for performance during the program.
  2. A curriculum vitae (summary of musical education including teachers, competition participation, a list of public performances, and repertoire studied in the past two years).
  3. One letter of recommendation from the students' current teacher.
  4. Audition recordings must be submitted by March 15.
  5. For international students: proof of visa requirements for entry to the USA is required at the time of admission/application.
